The First Puberty Talk — Made Simple

I wanted something clear. Something easy. Not too much, not too little—and definitely not something that left her more confused than when we started.

I shared it with a few friends. Their response was pretty unanimous: “You need to publish this.”

Somewhere along the way, I realized I actually love creating this kind of work and getting it into the hands of people who need it.

Even as a kid, I gravitated toward self-help and “how-to” books more than anything else. I like researching, testing things myself, asking questions, and learning from people who truly know what they’re talking about—then turning all of that into something genuinely useful.

When something works, I want to understand why.
And when it helps, I want to share it.

What started as one puberty book quietly turned into a publishing company built on experience, research, and a genuine desire to make life feel easier and less overwhelming.

Not because anyone has life figured out.
But because it’s easier when you know you’re not the only one figuring it out.

That’s the whole point.

my story
starts here...

It started as a mom writing a puberty book for her daughter—because I really didn’t want to recreate the awkward, half-explained, everyone-staring-at-the-floor version of that talk most of us remember.

Elevate Life Publishing didn’t start as a business.

This wasn’t the plan.
